Welcome to the Training and On-Demand Webinars section.

Workforce education and training is fundamental to delivering the priorities set out in NHS England’s latest cancer strategy and the wider NHS Long Term Plan. Developing a skilled, confident and supported workforce is essential to improving cancer outcomes and ensuring high-quality, consistent care for all people affected by cancer.

Our Cancer Academy is committed to providing healthcare professionals with accessible, high-quality education and training opportunities that support both professional development and improved patient experience. We aim to enable staff at all levels to strengthen their knowledge, skills and confidence in cancer care, contributing to continuous improvement across services.

The Aspirant Cancer Career and Education Development Programme (ACCEND) provides a national framework for practitioners to develop the core knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to care for people affected by cancer, while supporting ongoing career progression. We encourage you to explore the range of learning opportunities and training resources available through our Cancer Academy.
