Early diagnosis of cancer significantly enhances the potential for curative treatment and long-term survival for patients. The NHS Long Term Plan1 set an objective that, by 2028, 75% of cancers will be identified at the early stages of disease (stages 1 or 2). PrOCEDE is intended to enhance the knowledge and skills of our medical professionals to contribute towards this goal.

PrOCEDE has been developed by Dr Octavia Stevens and Dr Hong Tseung.

Octavia is the GP Clinical Lead for Models of Education and Sefton Place. With extensive experience as a GP and a trainer she is committed to strengthening cancer and primary care education. "Working with resident doctors has highlighted the need for strong educational resource in early cancer diagnosis. PrOCEDE is an invaluable tool in meeting that need."

Hong is the GP Clinical Lead for Models of Education and a retired GP with over 30 years experience, including roles as a Macmillan GP and a GP trainer. He brings a long standing commitment to cancer and primary care education. "PrOCEDE has been developed as a trusted, time-efficient resource for resident doctors, trainers, GPs and clinicians seeking quick answers and deeper learning."
