Event Description
Tracey Irvine, GIRFT Clinical Lead for Breast Surgery, invites you to join a webinar on Thursday 9th July 2026 (from 12:30-13:30) to discuss the recently published GIRFT breast cancer best practice Faster Diagnosis Standard (FDS) implementation handbook and the practical, evidence-based approaches which can support you to improve breast cancer diagnosis.
This handbook, developed with Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire (SWAG) and Kent and Medway Cancer Alliances, aims to help Cancer Alliances and organisations delivering breast cancer care to effectively implement the best practice timed pathways.
Steve Scott, Senior Operational Lead from the National Cancer Programme, will present an update on the FDS performance. Also in this webinar, a panel of speakers from the trusts with examples of best practice will be brought together to respond to your questions.
